Global Automobile Market 2026 In 2025, global car sales reached approximately 77.6 million units, marking another record high and the fourth consecutive year of growth since the post-pandemic recovery began in 2021. Figure 1 illustrates the number of new cars registered worldwide from 2016 to 2025.
